ABOUT US

The Future Stars is a Mentorship and Athletic Performance Program that began working with youth between the ages of 10-14 years old in 2023. The objective of the program is to guide and encourage young men and young women to put their best foot forward with their approach to life. We use Basketball and athletics to uncover and sharpen tools that will be used throughout life. Such as Hard Work, Consistency, Life Balance, Measurable Improvements, Prioritization and many other skills that make the transition in to adulthood much smoother.

Program mission

This program was started because our parent program, The AAC LVSTARS INC. (a local nonprofit organization est.1996 North Las Vegas, NV founded by James R. Wroten) found that most of our young people are not getting access to guidance until they are 15 & 16 Years old. The AAC Stars primarily focuses on Teenage participants and preparing them for college / adulthood. Most of the participants are between the ages of 14-18.

Although for the last 7 years 100% of the program’s participants have received college scholarships, there is still great room for improvement. By the time they are 14, they are almost done with their secondary education and are a bit less receptive at times to some of life’s Best Practices.

By offering an introduction to specific life skills at a Middle School age (Ages 10-14), The Future Stars Program bridges the gap between childhood and young adulthood. Ultimately, this builds a stronger foundation with the participants and the community. Not to mention, the kids and parents have a great time learning and growing together.
